Pictured: The welcoming party upon our arrival! We are very grateful that our pastor and his family were able to make the trip with us. They watched the kids for several days while we ran around the city purchasing the necessities.
Fellow laborers in Christ,
We’re here. After nearly two years of deputation, many miles, and many wonderful meetings, it is a tremendous blessing to write to you from Prague these two words: we’re here. Because of God’s faithfulness and the sacrifice of many churches, we have fully raised our support and arrived on the field. Even in the past six weeks we have been here, there have been many blessings during this transition. From free checked bags on our flight, to an amazing welcome from Sbor Baptistů, to God working on our behalf during our final visa appointment, to provision for the kids’ schooling, and receiving our shipped belongings a week before Christmas, we could not have asked for a better start to our lives here in the Czech Republic. God has made our transition unbelievably seamless. Of course, there has been much to learn as we shift from being visitors in the country to residents. We are currently self-teaching ourselves and the kids Czech, but the children will begin taking four Czech classes per week starting January 5th. Eternity and I will begin intensive classes, 25 hours per week, at Charles University in March, which was unfortunately the earliest available start date when we signed up in November. Thankfully, we have plenty of material to keep us busy until then.

Now the work begins. With every day we are here, the need becomes more evident. Even now, looking out the window, I can see apartment buildings stretching across the horizon, with the majority of the people living there having never heard a single presentation of the Gospel. Please pray for our upcoming Vision Sunday on January 18th, as plans and outreach efforts for 2026 will be discussed. Please also pray for a recent outreach that Bro. David, the man here surrendered to preach, has organized, making contacts and sending literature to prisons across the country. There are so many opportunities, and we covet your prayers that God would open doors, grant boldness, wisdom, direction, and place His blessing upon our labors here. We pray you had a blessed Christmas, and we are eager to share all that God will do in 2026!

Please continue to pray for us in these areas:
- That God would bless our labor and open doors
- Language learning
- Prison outreach response
- Kid’s school
- Driving test (we will eventually be purchasing a vehicle)
